Cucumber variety Daniaar is a parthenocarpic salad type that begins fruiting 40-42 days after emergence of seedlings. The plant is indeterminate, strong-growing, and moderately branched, with female flower type and cluster formation of ovary. Leaves are medium-sized, green, slightly wrinkled and slightly wavy at the edges. Cucumbers have spindle-shaped form, dark green color with short light stripes, slightly ribbed and warty with white hairs. Fruit weight is 110-135 grams, length 12-15 cm, diameter 4.1-4.4 cm. Fruit taste qualities are excellent, making them ideal for fresh consumption. The variety is highly resistant to several diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, olive spot, powdery mildew, and tolerant to false powdery mildew. This ensures stable yield and reduces the need for intensive plant protection. The plant is shade-tolerant and has high regenerative capacity, allowing successful cultivation under protected ground, especially in winter-spring rotation. Up to two to three fruits may form in one leaf axil, contributing to high commercial yield. Cucumber Daniaar is suitable for cultivation both on soil and substrate, making it versatile for various cultivation technologies.
