Cucumber Marieta

Reliable choice for field cultivation

Czech breeding house Moravoseed is renowned for its resilience, and the "Marieta" cucumber is a proven solution for those focusing on traditional open-field production. As a bee-pollinated variety, it is favored by farmers for its rapid development: the first harvest can be gathered just 40–45 days after emergence. This allows for quick crop turnover or a competitive advantage in the early vegetable market.

Practical application and agronomic value

• Processing qualities: With a length of 7–9 cm and a medium-warty surface, this variety is an excellent choice for pickling and canning. It maintains its crunch and structural integrity after processing.
• Market standards: Fruits weighing 80–100 grams feature a vibrant green color and attractive shape, making them highly marketable for retail and fresh sales.
• Field performance: "Marieta" thrives in open-ground environments. Natural bee pollination ensures consistent fruit set, reducing the need for expensive growth regulators or greenhouse infrastructure.

The practical utility of "Marieta" lies in its resilience to field conditions. It does not require intensive care, responding well to standard irrigation and nutrient management practices. It is a balanced option for growers seeking predictable results and a high-quality cucumber that holds up perfectly in jars. If you are looking for reliable genetics from Moravoseed for large-scale production of high-quality produce, this variety provides the consistency needed for a successful harvest.
