Description Maria
Maria F1 Cucumber is an ultra-early self-pollinating hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Japanese seed company Sakata. The fruit ripens in 39 to 45 days, allowing for an early harvest both in open fields and in protected environments, including polytunnels. Plants exhibit strong growth vigor and well-developed leaf mass, which protects them from sunburn and enhances stress resistance.

Maria cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, 8-10 cm long and weighing 60-80 grams. Their deep green color remains vibrant even after post-harvest storage. The fruit surface is covered with slight bumps and distinct spines, characteristic of the cornichon type. The cucumbers have excellent flavor without bitterness, making them suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling.

Maria F1 hybrid has high yield potential and genetic resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, and yellowing virus. The recommended planting density is 2-3 plants per square meter, which promotes optimal growth and maximum yield. Due to its characteristics and resistance, Maria F1 cucumber is ideal for cultivation on commercial plantations as well as in home gardens.
