Cucumber LIFE SCORE

Consistent Yields for Commercial Production

For professional greenhouse operations aiming at the premium segment of the cucumber market, the 'Lifescore' hybrid from Nunhems represents a standard of consistency and quality. Developed in the Netherlands, this variety is engineered to withstand intensive growing conditions while delivering a uniform product that meets modern retail requirements.

Agronomic Advantages

The core objective of growing 'Lifescore' is to achieve reliable output of standard-sized salad cucumbers. With a fruit length of 20–25 cm and an average weight of 250 grams, the hybrid aligns perfectly with the demands of supermarkets and export channels.

• Disease Resistance: Built-in genetic resistance to cladosporium and powdery mildew significantly minimizes the need for heavy chemical intervention, allowing for more sustainable management during the fruiting phase.
• Commercial Appeal: The smooth skin and consistent shape reduce handling time during harvest and packing, ensuring a higher percentage of marketable produce.
• Operational Efficiency: 'Lifescore' responds well to precision fertilization and climate control, giving agronomists the ability to manage harvest cycles effectively throughout the season.

Practical Field Application

In a commercial greenhouse setting, 'Lifescore' is best utilized within systems featuring automated drip irrigation and controlled humidity. This hybrid is highly favored by growers who prioritize steady, year-round or long-rotation supplies. Its ability to maintain shelf life and visual appeal during transport makes it a logical choice for operations serving demanding markets where produce quality is the primary metric for profitability.
