Cucumber Gazel

Reliable Performance for Professional Cucumber Growing

The «Gazelle» cucumber variety, developed by Agrofirma Poisk, is a proven solution for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse production. Designed for growers who prioritize consistency, this variety balances yield stability with high-quality, uniform fruit production.

Key Technical Specifications

With a maturity period of 50–55 days, Gazelle is well-suited for standard summer production cycles. Essential data for farm management includes:

• Pollination Type: Bee-pollinated. This variety excels in open-field settings or well-ventilated glass greenhouses where insect activity is sufficient to ensure proper fruit set.
• Fruit Profile: The fruits reach 9–10 cm in length. Featuring a coarse-warted surface and a vibrant green color, they are ideal for fresh market sales and processing.
• Disease Resistance: Enhanced genetic resistance to Powdery Mildew and Olive Spot significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, supporting more sustainable farming practices.

Operational Use and Farming Scenarios

The Gazelle variety is highly valued for its predictability in the field. Its robust structure allows for efficient transport while maintaining firmness. In commercial vegetable production, Gazelle is chosen for its ability to withstand environmental fluctuations without losing productivity. By ensuring adequate airflow and pollination support, growers can achieve consistent harvests of high-quality produce. Whether cultivating in greenhouses or open plots, this variety provides a reliable return on investment through its disease tolerance and excellent commercial appearance.
