Cucumber Drive F1 — a mid-early hybrid with partial parthenocarpy, intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant features strong growth, good foliage, and a robust root system that adapts well to compacted soils. The internodes of this hybrid are shortened, the leaves are medium-sized and dark green. Flowering is mixed with high female flower saturation, with one to three fruits forming at each node.
Drive F1 fruits have a cylindrical shape, 9–12 cm long and 3–4 cm in diameter, with a length-to-diameter ratio of approximately 3:1. The fruits are dark green with medium surface ribbing, dense and crisp flesh. White spines on the fruits give them a distinctive appearance. Harvesting cucumbers at the pickling, cornichon, or green stage is recommended for versatile use.
The hybrid has high flavor qualities: cucumbers are sweet, free of bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, canning, and salad preparation. The maturation period is 43–46 days from emergence to the onset of fruiting, allowing for an early harvest.
