Description

Buratino cucumber is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with predominantly female flowering, maturing in 44-46 days after emergence. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary plastic coverings. The cucumbers are 8-9 cm long and weigh approximately 90-100 grams, characterized by large warts and dark green color. Due to its genetic trait, the fruits do not contain bitterness, making them especially attractive for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning.

One of the distinctive features of the Buratino hybrid is the cluster formation of fruiting nodes, where up to six fruits can form simultaneously, ensuring a uniform harvest. The plant adapts well to various growing conditions, is resistant to air drought and stress, and has enhanced cold tolerance, allowing successful cultivation even during early spring frosts. With proper care, one square meter can yield up to 11-13 kg of cucumbers.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant cucumbers after cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, or peppers in light, loose soil enriched with organic matter. Sowing should be done when the soil temperature reaches 10-12°C, avoiding frost risk. Seeds are placed in rows at a depth of 1-1.5 cm with an interval of 5-6 cm. Irrigation is best done with warm water in the afternoon every 3-4 days. Cucumbers should be harvested regularly every 1-2 days, which helps maintain high fruit quality and flavor.
