Cucumber BUM

The cucumber variety BUM is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities. The fruits have a cylindrical shape, a rich green color, and a length of 6 to 8.5 cm, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for pickling and marinating. Due to the absence of bitterness and hollows, the cucumbers maintain density and firmness, which is especially valued in preservation. The plants form clusters of 4-5 fruits at each node, ensuring abundant fruiting over a prolonged period. The BUM variety is versatile in cultivation and suitable for both open ground, greenhouses, and tunnels. It exhibits high resistance to cucumber diseases and can withstand cold without reducing fruiting intensity. The parthenocarpic flowering type allows fruiting without pollination, although fruiting rate and speed of ripening significantly increase with cross-pollination. The fruits do not overgrow, facilitating harvesting and ensuring consistent product quality. A distinctive feature of the BUM cucumber is its attractive appearance: the fruits are covered with small bumps and white spines, giving them decorative appeal and recognizability. The plants have a generative growth type, promoting the formation of a large number of fruiting nodes simultaneously. Thanks to these characteristics, the BUM variety is an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers aiming to achieve a high and stable yield of tasty and high-quality cucumbers.
