Aelita — an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation under plastic coverings. The period from germination to fruiting is 43-45 days, allowing harvest at the beginning of the season. Plants are vigorous with a female flowering type and a pronounced tendency to form clusters of fruit set, contributing to high yields — up to 19-21 kg per square meter.
The fruits of the Aelita cucumber are cylindrical, up to 50 cm long and weighing 80-100 g. They are dense, with fine seed cavities, white spines, and thin skin. The zucchini are crisp, without hollows, with a pleasant sweet flavor and intense aroma, and they are not bitter. Due to these qualities, the cucumbers are ideal for fresh consumption, in salads and sandwiches, as well as for preservation.
The hybrid is resistant to major diseases of the crop, including powdery mildew, root rot, and cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). It tolerates low light and temperature fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for various growing conditions. Aelita seeds are suitable for both home gardening and farm operations, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
