Cucumber Kira

Greenhouse Performance Redefined

For large-scale greenhouse operations, selecting a hybrid is about securing consistency and yield. The 'Kira' cucumber from Enza Limited is specifically engineered for professional glasshouse environments where precision and marketability are non-negotiable. Unlike generic varieties that suffer from declining fruit quality over a long growing cycle, 'Kira' maintains its potential from the first harvest to the last.

Key Advantages

• Market-Leading Aesthetics: The 20–25 cm fruits boast a deep, dark green color that remains vibrant even under heat stress. This consistency is essential for meeting the strict requirements of modern supermarkets.
• Robust Disease Resistance: With built-in resistance to Powdery Mildew and Cucumber Mosaic Virus, 'Kira' significantly lowers your reliance on chemical fungicides. This 'immune package' is crucial for maintaining a healthy greenhouse ecosystem.
• Predictable Dutch Genetics: Originating from Enza Zaden, this hybrid offers the reliability expected from top-tier Dutch breeding, ensuring every fruit is uniform, crisp, and free from bitterness.

Who is this for?

‘Kira’ is the ideal choice for commercial producers focusing on the fresh market. It excels in controlled environments where nutritional management is optimized. While it demands a stable climate to reach its full genetic potential, it rewards the grower with a high percentage of premium-grade produce. If your priority is a long, productive season with minimal disease outbreaks, this hybrid is a cornerstone for your greenhouse infrastructure.
