Cucumber RELIABLE COMPANION

Reliable Yield in Open Ground

The «Nadezhny Tovarishch» cucumber from Agrofirma Poisk is a breeding solution for those seeking a balance between early harvest times and high disease resistance. Unlike many modern hybrids that require greenhouse conditions or intensive chemical protection, this bee-pollinated variety was specifically developed for open-field cultivation.

Key Advantages

• Early Maturity: the first cucumbers are ready for harvest just 40 days after germination.
• Immunity: breeders have paid particular attention to resistance against powdery mildew — the primary enemy of cucumber beds in mid-summer.
• Gastronomy and Appearance: fruits weighing between 80 and 110 grams with a length of 7–12 cm are ideal for both fresh salads and pickling. The dark green, heavily warted skin gives them a professional market appearance that is highly valued by consumers.

Who is this variety for?

«Nadezhny Tovarishch» is optimal for gardeners and farmers focused on growing produce without constant protection. Its generative plant type means the bush directs most of its resources toward fruit production rather than excessive vegetative growth, which simplifies maintenance and pruning.

It is important to note that this is a bee-pollinated variety. This is an advantage for those maintaining natural biodiversity on their plot, though it may be a limiting factor in isolated greenhouses without insect access. In open ground, with proper irrigation and fertilization, the variety demonstrates an excellent yield, living up to its name as a reliable partner in the garden.
