Description
Cucumber F1 Batonchiki is a high-yielding parthenocarpic gherkin, suitable for cultivation in spring greenhouses, polytunnels, open ground, and even on balconies. This hybrid features small but very attractive emerald-green fruits, 8–12 cm long and weighing 80–120 g. The cucumbers have a smooth, glossy skin and are not spiny, making them visually appealing and easy to handle. Excellent taste qualities are retained both fresh and after light pickling or canning, expanding their culinary applications.
Plants form 2–4 fruiting nodes per node, and limited branching simplifies care and enhances cultivation convenience. The hybrid is resilient and versatile, enabling stable yields under various cultivation methods. Recommended planting density is 2.5–3 plants per square meter in greenhouses and 3–4.5 plants per square meter in open ground.
One of the key advantages of this variety is its comprehensive resistance to major cucumber diseases, including powdery mildew, olive spot, and ordinary cucumber mosaic virus, as well as tolerance to false powdery mildew. This significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and simplifies plant care. High productivity, outstanding taste, and decorative appearance make Cucumber F1 Batonchiki an excellent choice for gardeners and growers seeking delicious and attractive fruits with minimal effort.
