Wheatgrass STAVROPOL 10

Stavropolsky 10: A Resilient Choice for Sustainable Pasture Management

Developed by the experts at SCFNAC (North Caucasian Federal Agricultural Research Center), the «Stavropolsky 10» wheatgrass variety represents a breakthrough in forage production for arid regions. While standard pastures often struggle with soil degradation and erratic weather, this selection stands out for its structural stability and reliable output, providing a robust solution for long-term land management.

Key Features and Performance

• Drought Tolerance and Resilience. The variety thrives in semi-arid zones where standard grasses falter, maintaining productivity even when moisture levels are below optimal.
• Pasture Specialization. Bred specifically for grazing, it exhibits a rapid recovery rate after trampling and mowing. Its vigorous tillering capacity allows it to quickly re-establish a dense canopy.
• Longevity. As a perennial, it holds its ground effectively, preventing soil erosion and crowding out low-value weeds, which keeps management costs low over the years.

Why Choose Stavropolsky 10?

This variety is designed for farmers who prioritize consistency. By integrating the genetics of SCFNAC research, «Stavropolsky 10» offers a strategic advantage: instead of annual reseeding, producers gain a permanent, high-performance pasture base. It is the optimal choice for operations managing extensive grazing areas where infrastructure costs must be balanced against high-quality animal nutrition.

While this grass is built to endure, its performance is maximized through rotational grazing strategies. Its ability to regenerate quickly allows for more efficient grazing cycles, turning otherwise vulnerable lands into high-yield forage assets.
