ZPK 677

ZPK 677 is a medium-maturing, simple, two-line corn hybrid developed by the Corn Institute 'Zemun Polje' in Serbia. The seeds are treated with the Maxim XL preparation and meet the GOST R 52325-2005 standard. One planting unit contains 75,000 seeds, with 1000-seed mass varying from 180 to 300 grams, indicating high seed density and quality. The hybrid features a dent type kernel with yellow upper and orange lower parts, and ear length of 18-20 cm with 14-16 rows of kernels. ZPK 677 plants reach a height of 240-250 cm and have weak to moderate anthocyanic pigmentation of the first leaf sheath. The hybrid is characterized by good cold and drought tolerance, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. It is recommended for grain and silage production, demonstrating high yields — average yield is 8.4 t/ha, with maximum reaching 9.8 t/ha. ZPK 677 is resistant to several diseases, including southern helminthosporiosis, stalk rot, and moderately resistant to powdery and blister mildew. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in a wide range of regions, including Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, West Siberian, East Siberian, and Far Eastern regions.
