JIB 0008

The JIB 0008 corn hybrid is a high-yielding mid-season variety with a vegetation period of about 90 days and an FAO index of 250. The plant is tall, reaching 240-250 cm, with a strong stalk, ensuring resistance to lodging and drying out. The ear is conical-cylindrical in shape, 35-38 cm long, with a dense core and 14-16 rows of kernels, each row containing 38-40 kernels. The kernels are dent-shaped, yellow, weighing 280-320 g per 1000 kernels, evenly ripening and not shattering, allowing direct harvest with combines without desiccation.

This hybrid exhibits high resistance to various biotic and abiotic stresses. It tolerates high soil moisture and salinity, is resistant to frosts down to -5 °C and heat up to +50 °C. The corn is immune to major diseases such as root rot, ear rot, powdery mildew, fusarium, rust, and virus dwarf mosaic. High resistance to pests and diseases ensures stable yields of 14-15 tons per hectare under optimal planting density.

Fertilizers such as nitroammophoska or ammonium sulfate at a rate of 200-250 kg per hectare are recommended for cultivation, applied before or after planting. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions and is suitable for intensive farming. Due to its strong ear attachment at 80-90 cm height and rapid moisture drying, JIB 0008 is a reliable choice for grain corn production.
