The hybrid sweet corn VASILI is intended for silage production and is characterized by high productivity. The plants have large sizes and well-developed green mass with an optimal balance between starch content and digestibility. Due to the Stay Green type, the crop retains green mass for a long time, which contributes to improving silage quality. High starch content ensures nutritional value, while excellent resistance to lodging and tolerance to common diseases, including fusarium, make this hybrid a reliable choice for farmers.
VASILI is characterized by high remontancy and good drought resistance, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. The plants have medium ear attachment height, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. The hybrid demonstrates high initial growth rate, ensuring rapid development and formation of yield.
To achieve optimal productivity, it is recommended to grow VASILI in areas with active temperature sums up to flowering of about 860 °C and up to maturity of about 1480 °C. This hybrid guarantees high quality and quantity of silage mass, which is especially important for animal feeding and increasing agricultural efficiency.
