Hybrid corn TOR is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid with FAO 280, developed in Ukraine and registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties in 2015. It is versatile, suitable for both grain and silage production. Plant height reaches 240–280 cm, with ear attachment height around 105 cm. Kernel type is dent, with orange color, ensuring high-quality yield. Vegetation period is 115–120 days, enabling successful growth under various climatic conditions. One of the key advantages of the TOR hybrid is its high adaptability and resistance to adverse environmental factors. It demonstrates excellent cold tolerance and high drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine and other areas with different soil-climatic conditions. Rapid early growth supports successful plant development in the early stages of vegetation and ensures stability and high yields — up to 15.8 tons per hectare, with average yield around 10.9 tons per hectare. The TOR hybrid also exhibits enhanced tolerance to dry conditions and efficient water release due to the morphological characteristics of the ear. It is suitable for both intensive cultivation techniques and minimal soil tillage, expanding its application potential in agriculture. Recommended sowing conditions include optimal air temperature from +7 to +10°C and seed moisture not exceeding 10%. Seed packaging usually contains 80,000 seeds, which is convenient for farmers when planning sowing operations.
