Syngenta's NK Cobalt sugar corn hybrid is a medium-maturing variety with FAO 320, suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including forest-steppe and steppe regions. This hybrid is characterized by stable and high yields, reaching 13–15 tons of grain per hectare and 6–7 tons of silage per hectare under conventional soil management. NK Cobalt has moderate growth rates in early vegetation, promoting uniform plant development.
A distinctive feature of the hybrid is its erect leaf type, which enhances photosynthetic efficiency, as well as a high starch content in the grain — up to 74.9%. The grain has a dent shape, contributing to good disease resistance and optimal plant density at harvest. Under favorable conditions, NK Cobalt can form two marketable ears, increasing overall yield.
