SY Contract

The hybrid corn SY Contract (SY Chorintos) from Syngenta is a mid-early, highly adaptable variety recommended for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine. It features rapid development during early vegetative stages and high yield stability under various soil-climatic conditions. The hybrid is suitable for grain and silage production, with a dent kernel type containing 72.8–75% starch and 8.8–9.2% protein. The average grain yield is 79.2–81.9%, and the FAO rating is 310, corresponding to the mid-early maturity group.

SY Contract demonstrates high drought, lodging, and frost tolerance, as well as tolerance to major corn diseases such as helminthosporium, ear fusarium, curly top, root and stalk rot. Due to its efficient water use and rapid water release during grain ripening, the hybrid ensures high productivity even under suboptimal moisture conditions. The recommended planting density varies depending on growing conditions and purpose: for grain under adequate moisture – 80–85 thousand plants per hectare, under insufficient moisture – 55–60 thousand; for silage – 88–93 thousand and 60–66 thousand respectively.

SY Contract seed batches are supplied in quantities of 80,000 seeds, complete with original documentation and payment terms upon receipt and inspection. The seeds are treated with modern protectants Force Zea and Vibranse, which provide protection against soil pests and diseases, stimulate root system development, and help the plant withstand stressful conditions. Planting is recommended at soil temperatures of +6 ... +8 °C, avoiding cold conditions to ensure maximum effectiveness of protective treatments and optimal crop growth. The hybrid is suitable for repeated cultivation on the same field up to monoculture and is recommended for cultivation in regions of Ukraine such as Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and others.
