SI ELADIUM

SI Eladium is a mid-early corn hybrid developed for cultivation in dry climates, particularly in the forest-steppe and northern steppe regions of Ukraine. The hybrid is distinguished by its high resistance to drought and frost, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. The seeds have a toothed shape and contain a high starch content — from 70 to 74% — making them valuable for both grain production and silage. The FAO maturity rating of the hybrid is 280, indicating a mid-early maturation period.

The SI Eladium hybrid boasts high yield potential: grain yield can reach 14–15 tons per hectare, and silage yield — 7–8.5 tons per hectare. Plants feature strong stalks and high resistance to lodging, contributing to yield quality retention. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates resistance to various diseases, including ear fusarium, stalk and root rot, helminthosporiosis, as well as rotting processes in the ear and stalk.

For optimal cultivation, it is recommended to follow specific planting densities: in the forest-steppe region — 60–75 thousand plants per hectare, and in the northern steppe — 45–55 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid’s rapid growth rate and efficient water use make SI Eladium a profitable choice for farmers seeking high-quality corn yields under challenging climatic conditions.
