The vegetation period is approximately 115 days, which corresponds to the average level for this region. The hybrid exhibits moderate resistance to stalk rot, but is susceptible to gray leaf spot and moderately damaged by corn borer. The grain yield of IR 401 is high: average yields reach 58.9 c/ha, slightly exceeding the standard level, with maximum values reaching up to 123.3 c/ha. Grain moisture at harvest is approximately 25.6%, meeting regulatory requirements. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high yield of normalized dry matter — average 127.4 c/ha, with maximum values up to 369.0 c/ha in various regions. The average dry matter content in grain is 38.1%, also slightly above the standard. Corn IR 401 is widely used in animal husbandry as a feed crop due to its high protein and energy content, which contributes to effective animal nutrition.
