ZERNOGRADESKY 288 MV — mid-early three-line hybrid corn, intended for grain use. It has a vegetation period of 110 to 124 days and belongs to the mid-early variety group. Plants reach a height of 250-300 cm, and the 1000-grain weight is 290-320 g. The grain is cream-colored, with 14 to 18 rows per ear, ensuring high-quality yield.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield, which in production conditions ranges from 7.5 to 10.0 t/ha, and reaches 12.2 t/ha on variety testing plots. In the region, grain yield reached 67.9 centners/ha, with maximum yields up to 125.9 centners/ha. The average yield of normalized dry matter is 153.1 centners/ha. The recommended seeding density at harvest varies depending on moisture conditions: 65-70 thousand/ha in the adequately moist zone and 60-65 thousand/ha in the moisture-deficient zone.

ZERNOGRADESKY 288 MV exhibits excellent resistance to gummy mildew, stalk rot, ear Fusarium, and ear mold. The hybrid shows high drought and cold resistance, as well as rapid water release, which promotes timely maturity and simplifies harvesting. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid is an optimal choice for intensive farming and can be used for both grain and silage purposes.
