The hybrid corn Segedi 386 is a mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 120 to 131 days and dent kernel type. This variety is characterized by intensive early growth and high productivity, making it suitable for both grain and silage production. Plant height ranges from 260 to 310 cm, ear attachment height is 115-135 cm, and the ear contains 16-18 rows of kernels with kernel numbers per row ranging from 39 to 51. The 1000-kernel weight is between 290-335 g, and the kernel color is yellow.

Segedi 386 exhibits high resistance to various adverse factors, including spring frosts, cold, drought, lodging, as well as pests and diseases such as gray leaf spot, helminthosporiosis, and corn borer. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates stable yields under various climatic conditions, including zones with adequate and insufficient moisture. Seeds are treated with fungicides and insecticides, providing additional plant protection.

The yield potential of the hybrid under production conditions is 9.5 to 12.6 tons per hectare, reaching 13.6 tons per hectare on trial plots. The recommended planting density at harvest time is 65-70 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 60-65 thousand under insufficient moisture. Rapid kernel moisture loss allows avoiding additional drying costs, making Segedi 386 an economically advantageous choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable yields.
