RAGT VELUXO

RAGT Veluxo — a mid-early maize hybrid designed for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and stability, especially under drought conditions, due to its high drought resistance and adaptability to growing conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 99 to 115 days depending on the region, allowing flexible planning of sowing and harvest dates. Plants are tall with broad leaf blades and a slightly conical, long ear with a thick diameter and intermediate kernel type featuring characteristic yellow-orange and red-orange coloring. The hybrid has a strong yield architecture and good response to increased planting density, enabling optimization of plant density based on soil moisture levels. Recommended planting density at harvest varies from 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under drought conditions to 75-80 thousand under adequate moisture. High thousand-kernel weight and moderate grain moisture (around 19-22%) ensure high-quality harvest and ease of storage. Additionally, RAGT Veluxo exhibits resistance to Fusarium and rapid early growth rates, contributing to successful plant development across various agroclimatic zones. Key features include intermediate tassel flowering and silk emergence, as well as weak anthocyanin coloring of various plant parts, indicating its adaptability and stress tolerance. High yield, reaching up to 159.7 c/ha in some cases, makes RAGT Veluxo an attractive choice for grain and cereal use. This hybrid is recommended for cultivation under variable moisture conditions, ensuring stable and high-quality yields even in challenging climatic conditions.
