Maize R 0315

Practical insights on the R 0315 hybrid

When selecting a maize hybrid for grain and forage, predictability is the key factor. The R 0315 hybrid from NPO Galaktika is designed for farming operations that prioritize consistent yields and reliable performance. As a medium-maturity dent corn hybrid, it adapts well to standard cultivation practices while delivering solid results in the field.

Field performance and planting density

Success depends heavily on optimizing plant density based on local conditions:

• High-input systems: In fertile soils or under irrigation, targeting 70,000–75,000 plants per hectare allows the crop to reach its full ear potential.
• Standard/Dryland conditions: Lowering the density to 55,000–60,000 plants per hectare helps manage water stress and ensures well-filled grains even in drier seasons.

Operational value

The versatility of the R 0315 is its strongest asset. Whether used for grain, fodder, or specialized feed, it integrates seamlessly into the farm’s workflow. The dent-type grain is physically robust and easy to handle during harvest, offering good drying characteristics that reduce post-harvest costs. For the operator, this means less time in the dryer and better fuel efficiency during the drying process. Given its stable agronomic profile, this hybrid remains a go-to choice for farmers who need a dependable crop that delivers consistent output across various uses.
