Pятигорье — this is a hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) with early maturity, intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and East Siberian regions. The plant is characterized by high stature, early silk emergence, and early tassel flowering, which contributes to timely harvest maturity. The average grain yield in the Volga-Vyatka region reaches 87.4 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield of 103.4 centners per hectare. In addition, the hybrid demonstrates high dry matter yield for silage mass — on average, 112.8 centners per hectare.
The hybrid Pятигорье is distinguished by its universal application, making it suitable both for grain production and silage production. Thanks to its early maturity, it can be successfully grown under various climatic conditions, as confirmed by trials in demonstration plots across several regions. This enables farmers to rely on a stable and high-quality yield in different zones.
The development and selection of the hybrid were conducted under the leadership of Vladimir Semenovich Sotchenko and his colleagues, ensuring the high quality and adaptability of the variety. Pятигорье is a modern solution for farmers seeking to increase corn production efficiency through the combination of high yield, early maturity, and universal use.
