Maize IAH 3300

Working with the Syngenta IAH 3300 hybrid

When planning a crop season, selecting the right hybrid is the most important decision for a producer. This dent-type corn has proven to be a reliable workhorse for farms that need to manage both commercial grain production and high-quality silage harvesting. Its key advantage is the flexibility in maturity dates.

Operational performance and agronomy

Success with the IAH 3300 relies on respecting the plant density guidelines. A range of 55,000 to 65,000 plants per hectare allows the hybrid to optimize its tillering and ear formation potential. At this density, the stalk remains highly resistant to lodging, which is vital for harvest in unpredictable weather conditions.

• Grain type: Dent corn, which facilitates threshing and minimizes losses during combine adjustments.
• Versatility: The hybrid shows excellent dry-down rates, but can also be harvested for silage with high nutritional value when necessary.
• Stability: Early maturity allows for harvesting before the onset of prolonged autumn rains.

Managing these crops does not require complex or unusual agronomic practices. The hybrid is responsive to fertilization but maintains consistent performance even on moderate soil profiles. For the operator, this translates into predictable logistics: you have a clear timeline for when equipment hits the field and exactly how much drying capacity will be needed by the end of the season.
