Maize Proxxi

French Breeding for Consistent Yields

The Proxi maize hybrid from the French company R2N is a classic example of a simple hybrid, aimed at farmers seeking a balance between early maturity and productivity. In unstable climatic conditions, this hybrid has proven to be a reliable tool for achieving predictable results in a short period of time.

Agronomic Profile and Timing

The key feature of Proxi is its vegetation period of 90–100 days. This classifies the hybrid as an early-maturing variety, which opens up wide opportunities for its use in various climatic zones. Such timelines help minimize risks associated with early autumn frosts or summer droughts, which are common in the second half of the season.

• Hybrid Type: Simple — ensures crop uniformity and predictable response to agronomic practices.
• Versatility: Proxi effectively realizes its potential for both grain production and silage harvesting.
• Origin: Developed by R2N experts, ensuring the high seed quality standards common in the European breeding industry.

Field Application Strategy

Due to its plasticity, Proxi has become a sought-after solution for farms that practice early sowing or need to clear fields for winter crops. The hybrid shows excellent grain moisture release during ripening, which is critical for reducing energy costs for subsequent drying. Its use for silage also demonstrates high nutritional indicators, which is a priority for the livestock sector.

Choosing R2N Proxi is an investment in stability. The hybrid does not require extreme conditions to demonstrate its potential, remaining a "workhorse" in fields where every day of the growing season counts.
