Rank MS 310

Hybrid maize Rank MS 310 is a medium-early three-line hybrid with FAO 250, intended for grain and silage production. Plants reach a height of approximately 290 cm, with ear attachment height around 115 cm. The ear has a medium-length cylindrical shape (19–22 cm) and contains 448 to 530 kernels arranged in 16–18 rows of 28–35 kernels each. The kernels are cream-colored with a yellow-orange tip and intense anthocyanin pigmentation on the stalk husks. Grain yield at harvest is 77–78%, and starch content ranges from 73 to 76%. The hybrid exhibits high productivity, reaching up to 14 t/ha with an average yield of about 10 t/ha, due to its strong potential and adaptability. Rank MS 310 is resistant to various diseases, including downy mildew and helminthosporium, and possesses high resistance to lodging (rating 9) and drought. It tolerates low temperatures at the beginning of vegetation and can develop stably under hot weather and limited irrigation, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under diverse climatic conditions. Morphological features include a rounded first leaf tip with moderate anthocyanin pigmentation on the leaf sheath and stem aerial roots. Flowering occurs early, while silk emergence is delayed, and anthocyanin pigmentation of the silk is absent. Leaf blade width is medium, ranging from 8.1 to 10 cm, and ear stalk length varies from 10.1 to 20 cm. Average inflorescence density promotes good ventilation and reduces disease risk. All these characteristics make Rank MS 310 a high-yielding and resilient hybrid, suitable for effective cultivation in diverse agro-climatic conditions.
