Odessa Silage 190 MV

Odessa Silage 190 MV — an early-maturing corn hybrid with FAO 190, developed by the Institute of Steppe Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. The plant is of medium height (190–200 cm), does not bush, with a cylindrical ear 18–20 cm long and 16–18 rows of kernels. The kernels are yellow and dent-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight of 270–280 g. The ear attaches at a height of 60–70 cm, and grain yield reaches 80–85%. The planting density before harvest is 75–80 thousand/ha in forest-steppe and 50–55 thousand/ha in steppe regions. The hybrid exhibits high kernel moisture-exuding capacity and high resistance to lodging, cold, drought, diseases, and pests, each rated 7 out of 9.

Odessa Silage 190 MV demonstrates high and stable grain yield (11.0–12.5 t/ha) at low grain moisture levels at harvest. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions and has high seed productivity. The seeds are treated with the fungicide Maxim 025 and a biostimulator, additionally coated with an eco-friendly paint without polymers and packed in paper bags of 25 kg.

The hybrid is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones, primarily for grain and silage production. Thanks to its characteristics — high yield, resistance to stress factors, and intensive moisture-exuding ability — Odessa Silage 190 MV is a versatile and reliable choice for farmers seeking efficient and high-quality corn production.
