Maize Nemirov

Operational advantages of the Nemiriv hybrid

Nemiriv is designed for farms prioritizing early harvest and high operational efficiency. With an FAO rating of 90–1240 and a maturity period of 90–100 days, this hybrid is an excellent choice for crop rotations where prompt clearing of fields for winter crops is critical. As a simple hybrid, it ensures uniform crop development, which is essential for optimized harvesting performance.

Agronomic resilience and field performance

The primary value of this hybrid lies in its ability to mitigate risks associated with intensive crop production. Developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of the UAAS, it offers built-in biological protection:

• Disease resistance: High resistance to common smut (Ustilago maydis) minimizes the need for prophylactic chemical treatments.
• Pest tolerance: Resistance to the European corn borer is a key feature, allowing farmers to reduce expenditure on expensive insecticide spraying programs.
• Grain quality: The intermediate grain type provides good threshing characteristics and reliable yield for grain-only production systems.

Nemiriv serves as a predictable tool for grain production. Its specific maturity profile allows agronomists to plan harvest logistics accurately, helping to reduce grain moisture at harvest and, consequently, lowering post-harvest drying costs. For managers looking to combine high yield potential with early maturity, this hybrid offers a clear path to production stability.
