Maize NA 380 VM

The Versatile Potential of Hybrid NA 380 VM

Corn breeding in Ukraine has taken a qualitative leap, and the NA 380 VM hybrid from NPK Selektsiya is a prime example. Its main feature lies in its multifunctionality: farmers get a tool that works equally effectively for grain, silage, or biogas production.

Agronomic Advantages

• Usage Flexibility: Unlike highly specialized lines, this hybrid is ideal for farms that combine livestock and commercial crop production. Its potential shines both in producing high-quality fodder and commercial-grade corn grits.
• Intermediate Grain Type: The yellow-orange, intermediate-type grain combines the benefits of flint and dent corn. It possesses high density while maintaining excellent moisture release, which is critical for reducing drying costs.
• Mid-Early Cycle: The hybrid starts strong in the season and matures predictably. This allows farmers to plan the harvest without unnecessary risks associated with a protracted autumn.

Who Should Consider This Hybrid?

NA 380 VM is aimed at producers who value stability and predictability. If your goal is to obtain high biomass yield for biogas plants or high-quality silage with high starch content, this hybrid meets these needs with a buffer. At the same time, its resistance to lodging and balanced development make it a safe choice for those focusing on commercial grain.

Strengths: High adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions in Ukraine and excellent nutrient conversion into yield. Weakness: It requires strict adherence to planting density to fully realize its genetic potential, as overcrowding can reduce the weight of 1000 grains.
