Corn hybrid 0997 MC is a medium-early hybrid with FAO 290, intended for cultivation as grain or silage. The plant is of medium height with medium-width leaves and slightly curved shape. The ear has medium length, weakly conical shape and medium diameter, with medium-length stalk and medium number of rows of kernels. The kernel is intermediate type, with characteristic bicoloration: upper part yellow, lower part orange. Anthocyanic coloration is weakly expressed in the sheath of the first leaf and leaf, moderate in roots at the stem and ear core, and strongly expressed in the silk. The hybrid is characterized by early tasseling and moderate anthocyanic coloration of the tassel sheath, base and anthers. The tassel has sparse ears, main axis higher than upper lateral branch, which is short and forms medium angle with lateral branches. Primary lateral branches are slightly curved, short and medium in number. These morphological features contribute to good plant adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions. 0997 MC has high yield potential — up to 14 tons per hectare, as well as high grain drying intensity after maturity, facilitating harvest and storage. The hybrid is well-suited for cultivation in diverse regions, including Northern Steppe of Ukraine, due to its resilience and adaptability. This makes it a profitable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality corn harvest.
