Maize MAS 28A

MAS 28A is a versatile hybrid sweet corn, suitable for cultivation as silage or grain. It belongs to the medium-early maturity group with FAO 270, ensuring high productivity and stable crop quality under various climatic conditions. The grain type is cream-colored with a toothed shape, and the ear attachment is medium, facilitating harvesting and processing. The hybrid is distinguished by high starch content and overall feed value, making it particularly valuable for animal feeding.

The plant is tall with good emergence energy and high drought resistance, allowing it to thrive even under suboptimal moisture conditions. MAS 28A exhibits excellent lodging resistance and a high STAY GREEN index, promoting prolonged green mass retention and improved silage quality. The hybrid also demonstrates high tolerance to major corn diseases, including ear and stalk fusarium and smut, thereby reducing the risk of yield loss.

Recommended planting density is 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 75-80 thousand under unstable moisture. MAS 28A is suitable for cultivation in the Polissia and Steppe regions, making it a versatile solution for farmers aiming to produce high-quality feed and grain. Thanks to its agronomic traits and adaptability, this hybrid ensures stable and high yields under various conditions.
