LAR 1492 X LAR 1493 — this is a late-maturing simple hybrid of maize (Zea mays L.), registered in the State Register of the Russian Federation. This hybrid was developed by the company MAISADOUR SEMENCES S.A. and approved for use in all regions of Russia. The plant is characterized by medium height and narrow leaves with a small angle between the leaf blade and stem, which contributes to optimal leaf surface placement for photosynthesis.

A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the weak anthocyanic coloring of the roots at the stem, the panicle bracts, and the anthers, as well as very weak coloring of the silk and leaf sheath. The panicle is late-maturing, with sparse ears and medium height of the main axis relative to the lateral branches. Primary lateral branches are slightly curved and few in number, affecting the inflorescence structure. The ear is of medium size, slender with a long stalk, and contains a small-to-medium number of rows of kernels.

The kernels are dent-shaped with orange coloring on the upper and lower parts, which is a characteristic feature of this hybrid. These traits make LAR 1492 X LAR 1493 suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions, ensuring a stable yield and high-quality grain.
