KWS Maurilio sugar corn is a medium-early hybrid with high yield potential, reaching up to 16 tons per hectare. Plants grow to a height of 280-290 cm, with ears set at 110-120 cm. The kernels are dent-type, arranged in 16-18 rows, with 36-39 kernels per row, and 1000 kernel weight of 290-310 grams. The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance and very rapid water shedding, ensuring stable yields even under adverse moisture conditions.
Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture levels: under adequate moisture, the optimal density is 70-80 thousand plants per hectare; under unstable moisture, 55-65 thousand; and under insufficient moisture, 45-50 thousand plants per hectare. These parameters allow flexible adaptation to specific climatic conditions and ensure maximum productivity.
The KWS Maurilio hybrid was developed by German breeding and is produced in Ukraine by KWS. It is intended for grain production and features good compensatory ability, contributing to stress resistance and stable yield formation. Due to its characteristics, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sugar corn yields.
