The hybrid corn variety Amigo is a mid-early, high-yielding variety with a maturity group of FAO 300-320, intended for grain production. Its yield potential reaches 150 c/ha, making it attractive for farmers aiming for a stable and high yield. Plants reach a height of 250-270 cm, with ears approximately 28 cm long, attached at a height of 105-120 cm. The kernels are dent-shaped, arranged in 14-16 rows with 37-39 kernels per row, ensuring good density and quality of the harvest.
The Amigo hybrid is characterized by high resistance to adverse growing conditions. It exhibits excellent drought tolerance, enabling successful cultivation in regions with limited moisture, such as steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. Additionally, the corn has high cold tolerance and a strong stalk, reducing lodging risk and helping preserve the harvest under adverse weather conditions. Resistance to Fusarium also reduces losses from diseases, ensuring plant health throughout the entire vegetation period.
The corn seeds of Amigo are treated with the fungicide FEVER and coated with a complex microfertilizer, promoting rapid and uniform emergence and enhancing resistance to soil-borne diseases. The recommended seeding rate varies by region: from 45,000-55,000 plants per hectare in the steppe to 70,000-75,000 in Polissia. This approach to agronomy allows maximum potential of the hybrid to be realized and ensures stable, high yields.
