KWS 6471

Corn seeds KWS 6471 are a powerful mid-season hybrid for grain production with FAO 340, developed for intensive cultivation technologies in forest-steppe and pole-steppe regions of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 300-310 cm, have strong stalks and wide erect leaves, which improve row illumination and ventilation. Ears are positioned at a height of 100-110 cm, contain 14-16 rows of kernels, each with 37-39 dent-type kernels weighing 300-310 g per 1000 kernels. The hybrid exhibits high regenerative capacity, allowing plants to maintain green color even during harvest, and rapid water release in the pre-harvest period due to ear opening during maturation.

KWS 6471 demonstrates high resistance to major corn diseases such as common rust, gummy ear blight, and downy mildew, as well as resilience to pest attacks. The hybrid is highly adaptable to growing conditions and can yield 84 to 114 c/ha even under adverse weather conditions. With adequate moisture, the recommended plant density at harvest is 75-85 thousand/ha, and under insufficient moisture — 60-70 thousand/ha.
