Maize 249 D 635

Stable Yields: French Genetics from Lidea

The 249 D 635 hybrid by Lidea is a balanced choice for farmers focusing on versatility. French breeding (originator Rustica Semences) has traditionally prioritized stress tolerance, and this hybrid is a prime example. With an FAO of 90–1240, this mid-early hybrid shows excellent plasticity across various climatic zones.

Agronomic Advantages

The main strength of the 249 D 635 lies in its dual-purpose nature. The hybrid performs equally well for grain and silage production. This is a crucial factor for operations with livestock sectors, where the goal is to obtain either high marketable grain yields or quality green mass with high nutritional value.

• Crop Health: High resistance to Fusarium and Helminthosporium helps reduce fungicide applications, positively impacting overall production costs.
• Disease Protection: Genetic tolerance to maize smut minimizes loss risks in regions with high humidity or unstable temperature patterns.
• Grain Type: The dent-like grain ensures high bushel weight and ease of threshing, reducing post-harvest handling expenses.

Why Choose 249 D 635?

This hybrid is the optimal solution for farmers who prefer not to split their fields into dedicated "silage" or "grain" zones. As a modified simple hybrid, it demonstrates strong early vigor, which is critical for early planting seasons. You receive a consistently high return on investment, making the Lidea 249 D 635 a reliable tool for your crop rotation strategy.
