Maize KR 795 UM

A Universal Solution for Intensive Livestock and Grain Production

The KR 795 UM hybrid, developed by the Kubanzerno NGO and the P.P. Lukyanenko National Grain Center, addresses the needs of farmers looking to fulfill two critical objectives with a single crop. This hybrid demonstrates stable productivity whether harvested for high-energy silage or for high-quality grain.

Practical Farm Scenarios

• Silage Management: Due to its balanced development of leaf and stem biomass, this hybrid is ideal for producing high-nutrition silage. Farmers choose it to provide livestock operations with easily digestible feed that boosts cattle productivity.
• Grain Production: The yellow dent-type kernel indicates high density and excellent test weight, facilitating efficient drying and storage. The mid-maturation cycle allows for precise scheduling of the harvest without overloading combine capacity.

The hybrid responds well to mineral fertilization, which is key to unlocking its full yield potential in fertile soils. For grain production, agronomists recommend moderate seeding rates to allow for robust cob development. Conversely, if biomass is the priority, seeding rates can be adjusted higher to maximize dry matter output per hectare.

Why Choose KR 795 UM?

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its predictability. In variable moisture conditions, it exhibits strong compensatory capacity. It serves as a reliable tool for operations seeking to optimize land use by integrating a versatile, dual-purpose crop into their rotation.
