DP 32 — a mid-season corn hybrid intended for grain and silage production. This hybrid is characterized by high, stable yield, which remains consistent even under adverse weather conditions due to its high resistance to drought, low temperatures, and sharp temperature fluctuations. The corn exhibits high water shedding speed, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.
DP 32 plants are tall with evenly positioned ears; stem length reaches about 250 cm. The kernels are dent-type, with ear rows ranging from 14 to 16 and approximately 32 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is about 320 g. The potential grain yield reaches 11–17 tons per hectare, making the hybrid suitable for various agroclimatic zones, including the forest-steppe, steppe, and lowland regions.
The hybrid shows high resistance to major corn diseases such as Fusarium, gray leaf spot, and southern rust, confirmed by high tolerance ratings on a 9-point scale. Additionally, DP 32 demonstrates high resistance to lodging and possesses strong early growth vigor. These traits make it an excellent choice for producing silage with high dry matter content and ensure high animal energy availability.
