Maize KM 3490

Focusing on Stability and Early Yield

The KM 3490 maize from Genex Ukraine is a solution for those who prioritize reliability. As a variety developed through Ukrainian breeding, it is finely tuned to local conditions, where climate variability has long been the standard.

Field Performance and Operational Experience

When working with KM 3490, it is important to consider its maturation profile, which falls within the early-to-mid range. This offers a distinct advantage during harvest planning: you can start operations earlier without waiting for critical grain moisture levels, significantly reducing drying costs.

• Purpose: Primarily for grain production. The variety forms a high-quality cob with excellent dry-down characteristics.
• Adaptability: The domestic background of the originators (Oksom, Shabatko, etc.) ensures that the genetics were developed specifically with Ukrainian soil and temperature patterns in mind.
• Resilience: The variety shows consistent performance even under intensive farming practices, without requiring overly complex or niche agronomic interventions.

Managing KM 3490 crops is straightforward for any agronomist. The variety responds well to standard fertilizer applications and has predictable reactions to crop protection products. If your goal is to obtain high-quality commercial grain without overpaying for imported licenses, this variety deserves a spot in your rotation. It is a robust, hardworking tool that delivers results even in conditions where other hybrids might struggle due to moisture stress or temperature fluctuations.
