Corn GW1126

Adaptability and Field Resilience of GU1126

The Bulgarian breeding program from GOLDEN WEST RESEARCH EOOD introduced the GU1126 hybrid to the Ukrainian market in 2025. This mid-maturing F1 corn hybrid is specifically designed for grain production and exhibits exceptional plasticity across diverse soil and climatic conditions.

A key feature of this hybrid is its ability to maintain productivity under unstable moisture conditions. Thanks to its genetically ingrained stress tolerance, GU1126 effectively withstands short-term drought periods and high temperatures, which is critical for the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. The plant demonstrates an excellent response to temperature fluctuations, maintaining stable photosynthetic processes even during moisture deficits in critical growth stages.

Agronomic Profile

• Growing Zones: Full coverage — Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya. The hybrid shows high adaptability to various soil types.
• Lodging Resistance: A robust root system and strong stalk ensure reliable anchorage, minimizing losses during mechanized harvesting, even with delayed harvest dates.
• Phytosanitary Status: The hybrid's genetic base includes complex resistance to major corn diseases common in Ukrainian climatic zones, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications.

Utilizing GU1126 allows farmers to mitigate risks associated with climate volatility, ensuring a stable grain yield with high quality parameters. It is a balanced choice for operations that prioritize predictable results and cultivation efficiency.
