Due to its characteristics, DS1897B is suitable for obtaining high yields of fresh mass and dry matter with moderate starch content.

DS1897B is a hybrid resistant to cercosporosis and lodging, which increases its reliability and yield stability under optimal growing conditions. However, this variety is not recommended for less favorable sites or late planting, as its potential is only realized on quality soils and with proper agronomic practices.
