Maize DA 27-9 VS, ZM

Technological potential of the DA 27-9 VS, ZM hybrid

The selection and seed center 'Zolotoy pochatok - Pavlovsky' has introduced the DA 27-9 VS, ZM hybrid, which demonstrates a balanced combination of agrobiological properties adapted for intensive farming. The primary focus of this hybrid is yield stability under fluctuating climatic conditions.

Grain morphology and biological features

The dent grain type ensures optimal moisture release during the ripening period. Medium-early vegetation cycles allow for harvesting within tight agrotechnical windows. The hybrid is versatile in its application: its physiological characteristics allow for equally efficient use of the harvest for both commercial grain production and high-nutrition silage.

Phytosanitary resistance

The genomic structure of DA 27-9 VS, ZM is reinforced with genetic defense mechanisms against key pathogens:

• Loose and common smut: a high level of innate immune defense minimizes the risk of productivity loss due to fungal spore infection.
• Helminthosporiosis and stalk smut: breeding efforts are focused on inhibiting the development of these diseases, which is critical for maintaining leaf photosynthetic area and stalk integrity until harvest.

This hybrid from 'Zolotoy pochatok - Pavlovsky' serves as a tool for farmers aiming to reduce fungicide input while maintaining high product marketability.
