Description MALTON
The hybrid corn Malton is an early-maturing three-line variety developed by Australian breeders of the company SAATBAU LINZ. The vegetation period is 90-100 days, providing an optimal balance of early maturity and high yield. The hybrid is adapted to cold soils and early planting, making it especially suitable for regions with a short growing season. Plants exceed average height, exhibit excellent early growth development, and show high cold resistance and drought tolerance. Malton features a cream-colored, dent-type kernel with a 1000-kernel weight of 280-300 grams and starch content up to 73%. The ear forms with 12-14 rows and 26-30 kernels per row, yielding 360-480 kernels per ear. The hybrid demonstrates high potential for both grain and silage yield, achieving silage yields of 95-106 c/ha. Due to its high resistance to lodging and stem breakage, as well as to diseases such as common rust, helminthosporium, fusarium, and root rots, Malton ensures a stable and high-quality harvest. The hybrid Malton is effective under various climatic conditions, including Central, Ural, and Far Eastern regions. Planting rates are 65-80 thousand plants per hectare, promoting optimal growth and maximum productivity. Thanks to its morpho-biological characteristics and high resistance to adverse factors, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and stable corn yields for both grain and silage.
