The hybrid corn Bilyar 160 is an early-maturing three-line hybrid intended for production of grain, grain-stalk mass, and wax-ripe silage. Plants of this hybrid are characterized by high height — from 215 to 277 cm, with ear attachment at a height of 82–85 cm. The medium-length ear contains about 14 rows of kernels, with a 1000-kernel weight of 250 g. Leaves of medium width promote good photosynthesis and plant development. The recommended plant density per hectare is 70–85 thousand plants, ensuring optimal yield.
The hybrid Bilyar 160 exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases and pests, including root lodging, stalk rot, ear fusarium, and damage by corn stalk borer. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in various agroclimatic conditions, especially in the Volga region. Average yield of dry matter reaches 11.7 tons per hectare, and under certain conditions may reach 32.6 tons per hectare.
The grain of the hybrid is characterized by high nutrient content: 8.87% protein, 68.46% starch, 2.07% sugar, 4.29% fat, 1.41% fiber, and 0.96% ash. These indicators make Bilyar 160 valuable for feed purposes and production of high-quality grain. The hybrid is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies, ensuring stable and high yields when following recommended planting rates and agronomic requirements.
