Baxxos corn is a medium-maturing, simple hybrid with a dent type kernel, intended for grain production. Plants reach a height of about 132 cm, have 16-18 rows of kernels with 32 to 36 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 330-350 grams, indicating high seed density and quality. The hybrid has high early growth energy, as well as cold and drought tolerance, making it suitable for various climatic conditions. Additionally, Baxxos corn exhibits resistance to stalk and ear Fusarium, contributing to harvest preservation and reduced losses during storage.
Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture levels: in well-watered zones, the optimal density is around 62-66 thousand plants per hectare, while in less watered zones, it is approximately 58-59 thousand plants per hectare. Main cultivation regions include the Polissia and forest-steppe zones, where climatic conditions and soil composition promote maximum productivity of this hybrid.
In addition to agricultural use, Baxxos corn can be used in fishing, particularly for catching carp and white fish such as roach, crucian carp, bream, and redfin. The kernels have sufficient hardness, allowing them to be used as bait or components of feed mixtures. Corn is ready for use and can be combined with other cereal crops, expanding its applicability under various conditions.
