Maize A 845 UM

A 845 UM — an early-maturing corn hybrid with high yield potential, intended for grain, silage, and biogas production. Plants of this hybrid have medium-high stature, and the grain is of a flint type with row numbers ranging from 14 to 16 and kernels per row from 28 to 32. The 1000-kernel weight is 310–330 grams, indicating large and dense kernels. The hybrid reaches flowering at a sum of effective temperatures of 845°C, and full grain maturity at 32% moisture is achieved at 1640°C, ensuring early maturation and the possibility of obtaining a stable yield under various climatic conditions. A 845 UM exhibits high tolerance to major corn diseases such as Helminthosporium, stem and ear Fusarium, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Among the agronomic characteristics of the hybrid are high initial growth, lodging resistance, drought tolerance, and the Stay Green effect, which extends the plant’s photosynthetic activity and contributes to increased yield. The hybrid has good moisture shedding, facilitating harvest and reducing losses during storage. The hybrid A 845 UM is recommended for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including the Forest Steppe, Northern Steppe, and Polесье. Its versatility allows the grain to be used for both grain production and high-dry-matter silage, making it an attractive choice for farmers focused on comprehensive corn utilization. Due to its combination of stress and disease resistance, along with high agronomic performance, A 845 UM is a reliable and productive hybrid for modern agricultural enterprises.
