PX 2 DFM is a mid-early maturing corn hybrid with high yield potential and adaptability to various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of approximately 230-240 cm, with ear length of 22-24 cm and 16 to 18 rows of kernels. Kernels are dent-type, weighing 280-300 g per 1000 kernels, ensuring good density and grain quality. The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance and good cold resistance, allowing successful cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones. PX 2 DFM shows high resistance to major corn diseases and pests, including downy mildew, gray leaf spot, and corn earworm. Plants demonstrate high growth energy in early vegetative stages, promoting good development even at low sowing temperatures of +8°C to +10°C. The hybrid maintains high pollination and productivity under stress conditions, including high temperatures and water deficiency throughout the entire vegetative period. PX 2 DFM is recommended for grain use and suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine. It demonstrates stable yield performance: 8.0-9.0 t/ha in the Steppe, 11.6-12.3 t/ha in the Forest-Steppe, and also adapts well to the Polissia conditions. The hybrid’s high plasticity and resistance to adverse factors make it a profitable choice for agricultural enterprises seeking high-quality and stable corn yields.
