Maize PX 2 DFM

Reliable Performance in Variable Conditions

When working with the Pioneer s.a. PX 2 DFM hybrid, the first thing you notice is the predictability of the harvest. The dent-type grain provides excellent moisture dry-down, which significantly cuts drying costs—a key factor in maintaining profitability.

Field Resilience: Protection That Pays Off

One of the biggest headaches in corn production is the European corn borer. With PX 2 DFM, this stress is substantially reduced. The hybrid shows strong resistance: even in years with high pest pressure, the stalks remain strong without lodging, and the ears stay intact.

Operational Insights

• Yield Potential: With an FAO rating of 90–1240, it allows for flexible planting density across various soil types, delivering consistent results even on moderately fertile fields.
• Harvesting: The grain threshes easily, keeping mechanical harvesting losses to a minimum. The stalk integrity holds up well, even if harvesting is delayed.
• Technology: The hybrid responds well to intensive fertilization programs but remains steady even under lower-input management.

If you are looking for a reliable hybrid for grain production, PX 2 DFM is a real workhorse that gives you the peace of mind that there will be a solid yield in the bin. It is a smart choice for those who prioritize efficiency, technology, and risk mitigation in the field.
